Housefellows at CMU
Housefellows cultivate meaningful, one-on-one mentoring relationships with students in our house communities.
Housefellows are experienced Student Affairs staff members who, along with student staff members, profoundly influence the growth and development of Carnegie Mellon students by creating unique experiences that enhance the academic experience at the university. Students lead the development and implementation of a vibrant, engaging experience through their work as Resident Assistants, Community Advisors, or House Council members, all of whom are advised by the Housefellow.
Housefellows are students' primary extracurricular advocates at the university with strong commitments to the ongoing care of our students. This is demonstrated through their visibility and accessibility throughout the campus community and their ability to respond to student concerns at any time of the day or night. When you arrive on campus, meeting your Housefellow should be one of the first steps you take to begin feeling at home in your residential community.
