*School Performance Fact Sheet: Data Reporting

  1. (a) Completion rates were calculated using the number of enrolled students who successfully met the requirements for degree completion and whose degree was certified based on the completion of these requirements; subtracting students on leave of absence or students who switched to other degree programs and, therefore, did not complete requirements needed to obtain the degree. (d) Salary information was collected through a (voluntary) survey of alumni at the time of degree completion by the CMU Silicon Valley Career Services office. In addition, data was collected from correspondence (ie. emails) received from alumni regarding employment positions they received that were not reported in the Career Services survey.
  2. You may obtain a list of the employment positions determined to be within the field of our degrees by reviewing our Job Classification lists for MSTV and MSSM.
  3. Sources used to collect salary information include a (voluntary) survey distributed through the CMU Silicon Valley Career Services office and correspondence such as emails from alumni with information on employment that was not reported in the voluntary survey.
