Curriculum Plans & Registration

Registration

Students can plan their schedule and register for courses in SIO. It is important students meet with their advisor before registering for the upcoming semester. Please refer to the CMU Academic Calendar for important registration dates.

Course Specific Requests

iii Course Overload Request Policy & Form 

Students can request a course overload after completing their first semester with a 3.75 GPA or higher. 

Independent Study Proposal Form

An independent study course is an individual student project guided by a CMU faculty member for variable units (6 – 12 units) as an elective.

Internship Details Form

All MIIPS Advanced students are required to complete the Internship Details Form once they accept their summer internship offer. Internship offers must meet requirements outlined in the MIIPS Internship Procedures document. Please reach out to Gabi if you have any questions or concerns about your offer.

The GSA’s mission is to advocate for and support the diverse needs of all CMU graduate students in their personal, professional, and public lives. Every graduate student at CMU is a member of the GSA general body, and has the opportunity to contribute to the operations and direction of the GSA.
